The PTAX is a reference rate for foreign currency transactions carried out in Brazil. It is an average of all the Real x Dollar conversion rates practiced on the market during the day, and is calculated by the Central Bank.
✔️ Imports: When the PTAX rises, purchases made outside the country become more expensive, impacting on the value of the goods to be integrated into stock.
✔️ Exports: When the PTAX rises, sales made abroad become more profitable, impacting on the value of the goods to be received from abroad.
